Previously known as the Cheshire Ladies' Squash League, this is the largest and most active women's squash league in the UK with 26 teams from 18 clubs competing across three divisions. Offering competitive squash in a sociable environment, the league has recently changed its title to "North West" to reflect the fact that it draws in players from surrounding counties such as Lancashire, Derbyshire and Merseyside where there is no women's league squash available. To take account of this, the two second divisions - 2a and 2b - are organised geographically to reduce the required travelling.

Matches are played on Monday nights, in a season stretching from early October until mid-March.
